About David Sarsby Technical Services
I am an Incorporated Structural Engineer and Draughtsman, specialising in producing house plans for extensions and also a time served steelwork detailer. With over 25 years experience, all my working life has been spent in the construction industry either as a Draughtsman, Engineer or Manager.
I have previously worked on many different types of projects ranging from a simple porch for a domestic house extension to multi million pound school projects working as part of the construction team.
I work directly for private individuals, small businesses or local builders and construction companies.
I established David Sarsby Technical Services with the intention of serving Private individuals, Small businesses and Local Builders with a Plan Draughting Service together with a general Technical Service geared towards obtaining Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval for extensions to domestic dwellings and small commercial construction projects.
Although I do advertise, most of my current work still comes from referrals. I now have the capacity to undertake more of this work and accordingly I am looking to establish new contacts and clients.
Many projects require some form of calculations to justify steel or timber lintels. As an Incorporated Structural Engineer I can take care of this, as well as the drawing work, and submit all the necessary calculations to Building Control.
I work from my office at agreed rates or prices. Although the web site graphic indicates a traditional service, all drawings are produced using AutoCAD LT which can be converted to pdf files which then provide access for anyone with a computer or smart phone. Correspondence with LABC is usually completely electronic now which enables a speedy response. I also have A1, A3 and A4 printing facilities which means I can produce full size prints for use on site at short notice.
As an Associate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, my intention is to provide an informative and professional service, which you will be happy to recommend to other people.
